Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at a short-term acute care facility. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a general medical and surgical unit, with responsibilities including administering chemotherapy, managing feeding tubes, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care. The assignment begins on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027, with a schedule of 12-hour days, totaling at least 36 hours per week. The position requires flexibility to float within scope to meet unit needs, including potential coverage at other units such as surgical and telemetry.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Licenses in MO or IL required at time of submission; MO license or compact license (no issuance if tied to another compact state); IL license in hand required; no minimum experience specified but at least 1 year preferred; BCLS certification; no on-call requirement; ability to float within scope to meet facility needs (including float to other units such as surgical and telemetry)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chemotherapy administration, charge nurse experience, and charting system experience on Epic or similar systems; previous medical-surgical experience and patient ratio experience of 5-6 patients per nurse; experience with community hospital settings, LTAC, or trauma levels not specified but beneficial
• Additional Information: Open to first-time travelers; no RTO requests exceeding 7 days; no local candidates accepted within 75-mile radius; pending license acceptance; orientation may require weekday sessions; certifications include BCLS and ACLS (required for Barnes-Jewish Hospital location); Labs and modules must be completed as per compliance deadlines; no specific multi-week orientation details provided
